In short: idyeah does not collect, store, or transmit your notes, ideas, or any personal data to Christson or anyone else. Everything you create in idyeah stays on your device, unless you explicitly choose to share or export it yourself.

What idyeah does not do

Where your data actually lives

Everything you create in idyeah — notes, generated ideas, conversations, next actions, and everything else — is stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device data storage. Christson has no access to it, at any time, under any circumstance.

On-device AI processing

idyeah's text-based AI features — generating ideas, refining a note, proposing next actions, organizing content, and the chat and team-consultation features — run using Apple Intelligence, entirely on your device. Your notes and prompts are not sent to Christson, Apple, or any other party to produce a text response.

Image generation is handled differently, and is disclosed separately here because it is a real exception to the above, not a variation of it. Image generation uses Apple's Private Cloud Compute rather than running entirely on-device, which means it requires an internet connection. Private Cloud Compute is Apple's own privacy-preserving cloud architecture: Apple states that data processed this way is used only to fulfill the specific request, is not retained, and that the code running on Apple's servers is independently verifiable by outside experts. Christson does not receive a copy of anything sent through Private Cloud Compute, and has no visibility into it. Text generation is not affected by this and continues to run entirely on-device regardless of whether image generation is used.

Apple Intelligence requires a compatible device with the feature enabled in Settings. If your device does not support it, or it is turned off, idyeah's AI features will not function, and idyeah will tell you so plainly rather than fail silently.

Reminders access (optional)

If you choose to turn a proposed action into a reminder, idyeah asks for permission to add reminders to your device's Reminders app. This is entirely your choice, action by action — idyeah never creates a reminder without you tapping to do so. The reminder is written to your own Reminders app and, if you use iCloud, your own iCloud account. Christson does not receive a copy of it.

Sharing and exporting (optional, and always initiated by you)

idyeah lets you share an idea as an image, or export an interest and its contents as a file, so you can send it to someone else or move it between your own devices. Both of these only happen when you explicitly choose to do so, and both use Apple's standard system share sheet — meaning the content goes wherever you direct it (Messages, AirDrop, Mail, Files, and so on). It does not pass through Christson at any point.

Future subscriptions

A future version of idyeah may offer optional paid features through Apple's standard in-app purchase system. Any payment is processed entirely by Apple; Christson does not receive or store your payment or billing information.

Children's privacy

idyeah is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children — a statement made easier by the fact that idyeah does not collect personal information from anyone at all.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes — for instance, if a future version of idyeah adds a feature that does involve data leaving your device — this page will be updated, and the "last updated" date above will reflect it.
